1. About Deccan Goats

Deccan Goats is an online platform for buying quality goats from trusted breeders in Karnataka. We connect customers with healthy, vaccinated livestock delivered to your doorstep.

By placing an order on our platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

2. How Ordering Works

Step 1 — Browse & Select

Browse available goats, view photos, videos, and details. Add your choice to cart.

Step 2 — Enter Delivery Details

Enter your address and PIN code. We'll verify if your area is serviceable.

Step 3 — Choose Delivery Date

Pick a Saturday or Sunday from available delivery slots.

Step 4 — Pay 10% Booking

Pay 10% of goat price online via Razorpay/UPI to confirm your order.

3. Payment Terms

Payment Split

🔒 10% Booking Amount — Paid online at checkout via Razorpay / UPI / Cards
💵 90% + Delivery Fee — Paid in cash when the goat is delivered to your doorstep

Example: If goat price is ₹10,000 → Booking = ₹1,000 (online) • Balance = ₹9,000 + delivery fee (cash on delivery)

The booking amount confirms your order and filters genuine buyers. This protects both parties from wasted delivery trips.

Important

⚠️ The 10% booking amount is non-transferable — it cannot be shifted to another goat or order unless agreed upon by the seller.
⚠️ If an online payment via Razorpay/UPI fails or is reversed, the order will be placed on hold. You will be notified to retry payment within 24 hours, failing which the order may be cancelled.
⚠️ Cash on delivery must be the exact amount. Delivery will not be completed without full payment of the remaining balance.

4. Delivery Policy

📅 Fixed Delivery Days: Deliveries are made on Saturdays and Sundays only.
📦 Batched Deliveries: Orders are grouped by route for efficient delivery.
⏰ Cutoff: Orders must be placed at least 48 hours before the delivery date.
📍 Service Areas: Currently serving Karnataka — Bangalore, Mysore, Hubli, Davangere, Belgaum, and surrounding areas.
🚛 Transport: Goats are transported by professional livestock transporters.
⚖️ Ownership Transfer: Ownership of the goat passes to the buyer only upon full payment at the time of delivery.

Force Majeure

Deccan Goats shall not be held liable for delays or non-delivery caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, road blockages, severe weather conditions, government restrictions, or any other force majeure events. In such cases, we will notify you and reschedule delivery at the earliest opportunity.

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Eligible refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.

6. Quality Guarantee

✅ All goats are health-checked before listing
✅ Vaccination status is clearly mentioned on each listing
✅ Photos and videos of the actual goat are provided
✅ Breed, age, weight, and colour are accurately described
✅ Driver's contact number is shared for delivery tracking

Please Note

📸 Photos and videos on the platform are indicative. Minor variations in appearance, weight, or colour may occur as goats are live animals.
🏠 Post-Delivery Responsibility: Once the goat is delivered and accepted by the buyer, the health, care, feeding, and welfare of the goat becomes the buyer's responsibility. Deccan Goats is not liable for any health issues arising after delivery.
🐐 Goats are live animals — natural variations in behaviour, health, or adaptation to a new environment may occur despite health checks conducted before sale.

7. Regulatory Compliance

All sales on Deccan Goats comply with applicable Karnataka state and Indian animal husbandry laws and regulations. Customers are responsible for ensuring compliance with local laws, zoning regulations, and municipal rules regarding the keeping of livestock at their delivery address.

8. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms & Conditions, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation.

If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably within 15 days, it shall be referred to arbitration in Bengaluru, Karnataka, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding.

Any disputes not resolved through arbitration shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Karnataka, India.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

Your personal information (name, phone number, email, delivery address) is collected solely for the purpose of order fulfilment, delivery coordination, and customer support.

🔒 We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties except logistics/delivery partners required to fulfil your order.
🔒 Payment information is processed securely through Razorpay and is never stored on our servers.
🔒 You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.
